This photo isn’t quite as old as it’s been made to look here – and in fact it was taken at the 2010 Early Arkansaw Reenactors Association’s annual Rendezvous at Petit Jean State Park. If you look though, there’s really nothing in the picture that isn’t “period” – with the possible exception of the flag (it looks like a modern, 50-star flag to me – but I really didn’t check it out close-up and it could be an older one. The little folding wooden tables were probably not being mass-produced back in days-of-yore, but they could have been made – since they’re nothing but wood and maybe a little metal).
