Lake Nimrod and Dam – July 2011

Lake Nimrod and Dam - July 2011

This dam on the Fourche La Fave (Foosh La Fay) River in Central Arkansas creates beautiful Lake Nimrod. It’s surrounding wilderness areas comprise almost 25,000 acres of pristine hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor recreation opportunities – including one of the few mobility-impaired hunting areas I’ve heard of around here. You can see a bird flying by near the center of this panorama taken at the dam – but it’s almost as common to see huge C-130 airplanes fly just a few hundred feet overhead when on training missions from the Little Rock Air Force Base.
