Yeah, that’s my reflection in the glass like a ghost – and like a ghost, I fade from view in the Summertime…
Despite being born and raised in this part of Arkansas, I really can’t take the hot, humid weather very well and it seems to get worse every year. In fact, I’m starting to think of myself as a “cross-wired bear” – I hibernate during the Summer and then come out to prowl the woods in the Winter!
But y’all heat-lovers enjoy it! You may catch a glimpse of me around the shores of a lake or on a mountain top, but only if you’re out early enough – once the sun gets to about the 9 o’clock position, I’m back in my cave!
If you’re counting (like I am), Autumn will be here on September 22 (of 2012) … I’ll see the rest of you then!
