These two photos were taken about 10 years apart at the same location – Stout’s Point at Arkansas’s Petit Jean State Park. I called the original image (the bottom one) “A Contrast of Trees” because it’s springtime and one tree is just starting to bud while the other is still bare. Years later it’s the same scene in spring, but this time the opposite trees are budding-or-bare. I can only guess it has something to do with how old they are…
