This is part of the boardwalk at the Watchable Wildlife section of the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail. The fully-accessible trail goes around an open field, through a short stretch of woods, then comes to this boardwalk with a bridge over Gap Creek and a fishing dock.

An old cotton depot in Scott, Arkansas – for lack of a better term. This building is located next to train tracks and would have stored bailed cotton waiting to be shipped out. There’s a nice museum of cotton-boom era relics and the related history in the little town of Scott – but the town is practically a museum itself with all these old cotton gins and associated buildings. From the top of Hickory Nut Mountain in Montgomery County, Arkansas you can see most of Lake Ouachita – but still not all of it! This panorama shows a Winter view with Cirrocumulus undulatus clouds stretching overhead.
