Ouachita River Whitewater Park

Ouachita Whitewater Park - 4-2017

Old Forester – New Year

Old Forester - New Year

I first visited “Old Forester” on one of the last days of 2013 – and here it is on New Year’s Day of 2017. Wappanocca Spring

Wappanocca Cypress

Once a year or so I head up towards West Memphis to visit some folks, and always try to stop by the Wapanocca National Wildlife Refuge just north of there. (I don’t always get to – it’s sometimes closed due to flooding.) I have a photo of it in Winter that you can see in this post – and the top photo above is the same location seen in Spring, plus an extra shot that I liked. (Forgive the blown-out clouds – it was a bright afternoon and I exposed for the shadows…)
