With storms predicted for the First Day of Summer, I decided to seek a vantage point on Lake Ouachita in hopes of getting some “Sunrise vs. Storm Clouds” shots at dawn. I took a few and haven’t processed them all yet – but this one seemed to stand out as particularly appropriate for the end of the Spring we’ve had this year …
… April and May saw killer storms and tornadoes – a few of which came very near the place shown here : The Buckville Day-Use Area on the northern shore of Lake Ouachita. It may seem odd that a bare tree (I think it’s dead) could represent Spring-into-Summer, but to me it represents the damage these areas suffered – and the coming dawn of Summer is pushing away the storm clouds of our violent Spring.
