I have completely lost track of how many different websites and various "homepages" I've had over the years... As I recall, the first one was back in 1997 or so and was hosted on Geocities. Man, a lot has changed since then ... The simple HTML pages I created then compared to the dynamic sites I create now is like comparing riding a bicycle to flying a jet - and the sites themselves likewise reflect an evolution from pedal-power to PHP. |

My Galleries and Online Albums actually exist as a separate, stand-alone site from the one you're viewing now - but navigating back to here is as simple as following the MarkCorder.com link in the Gallery's "breadcrumb trail" navigation just under the title.
I like to present it separately because while I often change the look of this site (with different themes, color schemes, and layouts), I like to have a maximum-width page with a dark, neutral background to present my photos and artwork on. With that purpose in mind, I don't change the look-and-layout of my Gallery very often. It's also built with a different system, utilizing the fantastic Gallery 2 Open Source Web Application. I could "bridge" it into this site (which uses the equally fantastic Joomla CMS), but I still prefer to run it as a stand-alone application. At the end of this article I'll give a little more info on how you can get a Gallery for yourself! |
