The bluffs along the Buffalo National River are always inspiring. For instance, looking at a photo I took of this bluff along Steel Creek (possibly part of Bee Bluff) inspired me to paint it with a castle on top – it seemed to need one. I forget the exact Castle that likewise inspired me here – it’s one in Scotland, I think. And I’ll also note that I created this piece before I knew someone was actually building a Medieval Fortress in the Ozarks.
Update 9/8/15: It seems the Medieval Fortress in the Ozarks project has bit the dust, and it’s website in no longer available. You can still find some references to it on the ‘net, and the Wikipedia article is here.
