Windmill Workflow

I like how this image turned out, and it’s a good example of the roundabout way I often go about achieving an end…

It’s another 3D model created in Blender – loosely following a tutorial from Ünal – and mostly made just for fun and practice. I found a fun camera angle I liked for an initial still-frame render, and used that as the “base” for several layers of painting effects that are mixed, matched, and blended on top of it. Several other stages of the process are shown below –

– and of course a windmill should be animated!
